What Is OpenPOS?

OpenPOS is an AI-native system for independent restaurants and small groups. It puts your point of sale, website and online ordering, front of house, team tools and guest marketing in one place, and adds an AI Manager that does real work for the store while you stay in charge. Each part has its own guide: website, menu, orders, tables and QR tabs, reservations and waitlist, catering, delivery, staff apps, scheduling, Terminal and kiosk apps, printers and card readers, customers and loyalty, Voice AI for phone orders, and reports.

Where to find it

1. Create your store at /get-started — see Set Up Your Store and Go Live.
2. Run it from the dashboard — see Navigating Your Dashboard.
3. Give the AI Manager tasks in chat — see Your AI Manager.

Good to know

• The AI Manager may do routine work that can be undone on its own; anything that can't be undone waits for your approval. See approvals and settings.
• You can turn the AI Manager off in Store Settings › Services — orders and the store keep running as usual.
• Your store's public information — menu, hours, location and what's available now — is open by default, so AI assistants can find you. Changing anything needs your permission. See Get Found by AI Assistants and Integrations, API & AI Agents.
• You don't have to switch everything at once: many stores start with the website and online ordering next to their current POS.

If something's not working

• Don't see a part of the dashboard? It stays hidden until its feature is turned on in Store Settings › Services, and some sections depend on your role.
