Run Several Stores

Add a location by copying a store, then run your stores as one brand: one menu view, changes to many stores at once, brand insights and one brand website.

Last updated October 12, 2026

OpenPOS works for one store or several. Each store keeps its own menu, prices, orders and settings. With two or more locations, multi-unit adds a brand layer on top, so you can see and change many stores at once — with a preview first and undo after. This article is for account owners; managers and staff never see the brand pages.

Turn it on

  1. Add a location in Sidebar › ADMIN › Locations with Add manually or Create with AI. Under Start from, copy an existing store's menu and settings, then change what's different, such as address, hours and prices. Later edits at either store stay there.
  2. Turn on multi-unit in BRAND › Settings: name your brand, choose the stores in it, and choose Turn on multi-unit.
  3. Switch between stores from the store name at the top of the sidebar (Switch Location).

Good to know

  • The brand Menu pages list each item once, matched by name. Pick which stores get a change, review it at each store, then apply. Nothing changes at a store until you approve it, including changes the brand AI suggests.
  • Change history shows every brand change and its result at each store, with undo for edits.
  • Insights compares sales across your stores. For one store's numbers, use its own Analytics.
  • Website gives you one brand website with a page for each location, and each store's Website page is managed from there; ordering pages stay as they are. See Your AI-Built Website.
  • You can turn multi-unit off later: the brand website goes offline, each store's own website comes back, and store menus, prices and ordering pages don't change.

If something's not working

  • Don't see BRAND? It's for account owners only. Before multi-unit is on, it shows as BRAND › Set up multi-unit.
  • Same dish showing twice in the brand menu? Matching is by name, so "Pepperoni Pizza" and "Pepperoni Pie" show as two items — use the same names across stores.
