For stores that serve guests at tables: set up your tables once, print their QR codes, and guests order rounds and pay from their phones while staff run the same checks in the staff app.
Turn it on
- In Store Settings › Tables, add your tables and areas. Switch to Floor plan to arrange them.
- In Store Settings › Services › Online Ordering, turn on Dine-In and choose how guests pay: Pay when ordering, Open tab, pay at the end or Open tab with card (the guest who opens the tab saves a card first).
- Use View & print QR codes to print a code for each table, or one code for the whole room.
Good to know
- Guests scan, order a round and pay when they're ready. Anyone else at the table who scans joins the same tab, and the table can Split the check.
- Staff see every table and open check in the staff app's Tabs tab. There they add items, send them to the kitchen, request or take payment and move a check. Guest calls and "Ready to pay" alerts show there too.
- Cards at the table are taken on the Terminal app with its card reader (see Printers & card readers).
- When everything a table ordered is paid, the table frees itself. If you seat guests with Host, it's marked to clean instead (see Reservations & waitlist). Staff can always clear a table by hand.
- At the end of the service day, table tabs that are still unpaid are voided. With Open tab with card, the saved card is charged for the balance instead.
If something's not working
- A table can't be deleted or switched off: it's still in use (guests seated, an open check or a booking to come). Free it first.
- A table looks busy but nobody's there: open it in Tabs and use Guests left.
- Still stuck? Sign out of the staff app and back in, or email [email protected].
