Catering & Private Events
Take catering orders online or by quote request, host private events, and move each one from inquiry to quote, invoice and payment.

For stores that cater or host events: take catering orders online at fixed prices or by custom quote, and run private events at your venue. Everything lands on one catering dashboard.
Turn it on
- In Store Settings › Services › Catering Services, turn on catering and open Catering Setup.
- Choose Online Ordering (customers order from your catering menu and pay at checkout), Quote Request (customers send an inquiry and you reply with a quote), or both. Customers start from your storefront's catering page.
- Add trays, platters and packages under Sidebar › CATERING › Catering Menu. Import with AI reads an existing menu file for you to review before importing.
- For events at your restaurant, turn on Store Settings › Services › Private Events and set up your spaces.
Where to find it
Sidebar › CATERING › Dashboard holds every inquiry, quote, order and invoice, including private-event inquiries.
Good to know
- A quote request moves from inquiry to quote, order, invoice and payment. Each quote revision is a new version, and the customer accepts or declines it from a link.
- Convert to Order sends an accepted quote into your normal order flow, and the customer pays online from the invoice link.
- Catering Setup also sets who on your team gets catering emails and prep reminders.
- A confirmed private event holds its capacity in your bookings, so tables aren't double-booked (see Reservations & waitlist).
- If an inquiry waits without a quote, the AI Manager drafts one at your own prices for you to review. It never sends a quote itself (see What the AI Manager does every day).
If something's not working
