Terminal & Kiosk iOS Apps
Download and set up the OpenPOS Terminal and Kiosk apps on your iPad or iPhone.
OpenPOS offers two native iOS apps for in-store operations:
OpenPOS Terminal (iPad & iPhone)
Your staff-facing POS app. Receive incoming orders, print receipts, process card payments, manage the 86 board, and handle deliveries.
Runs on iPhone or iPad — payment setup differs:
| iPhone | Tap to Pay built-in — customers tap their card or phone on your iPhone. No extra hardware needed. |
| iPad / iPad Pro | Requires a Stripe Terminal M2 card reader (connects via Bluetooth). |
Need a complete POS setup? We offer ready-to-go hardware packages — iPad, receipt printer, card reader, and stand. Contact us →

OpenPOS Kiosk (iPad only)
Turn an iPad into a customer self-order station. Customers browse your menu, customize items, and pay — no staff interaction needed. Great for fast-casual restaurants and high-volume stores.
Requirements:
- iPad or iPad Pro — iPhone is not supported for kiosk mode.
- Stripe Terminal M2 reader — Required for customer card payments (connects via Bluetooth).
We offer turnkey kiosk packages with iPad, card reader, and your choice of floor-standing or countertop enclosure — pre-configured and ready to plug in. Contact us →

How to set up
- Create a device code — Go to your dashboard → Devices → Create Code. Choose "POS" for the Terminal app or "Kiosk" for the Kiosk app. You'll get an 8-character code like
K4M9-TX2P. - Download the app — Install the appropriate app from the App Store on your iPad.
- Enter the device code — Open the app and enter the code. Your menu and store settings load automatically.
- Connect a card reader — For card payments, pair a Stripe Terminal M2 reader via Bluetooth. On iPhone, you can use Tap to Pay instead (no reader needed).
Tips
- You can create multiple device codes — one per iPad. Each device is tracked separately in your dashboard.
- Device codes can be revoked at any time from the Devices page if a device is lost or compromised.
- The Kiosk app works best in a floor-standing enclosure with Guided Access enabled to prevent customers from exiting the app.
- Both apps work offline for viewing the menu — but require internet for placing orders and processing payments.
