Pickup LockersPilot
Pickup lockers let guests collect orders from a locker with a code. Lockers are a pilot, so talk to OpenPOS before you buy hardware.

Pickup lockers let a guest collect a ready order from a locker compartment with a code, instead of at the counter. The locker can be in your store or at another location, such as an office lobby.
Lockers are a pilot. No physical locker brand is connected yet; today OpenPOS uses a simulated locker for setup and testing. Contact us before you buy locker hardware.
Where to find it
- Store Settings › Services › Pickup Lockers: add and set up lockers, including how guests unlock them.
- Store Settings › Services › Online Ordering: under Pickup, choose Pickup Locker for a locker in your store, or turn on the Locker Pickup order type for one at another location.
- Store Settings › Displays › Locker Display: the locker operations page, for a tablet by the lockers.
- The staff app's Lockers tab, once your store has lockers.
Good to know
- In your store, staff assign a ready order to a free compartment, and the guest is told how to open it.
- At another location, a driver takes the order from the staff app's Deliveries tab and places it in the locker (see Delivery). The guest gets the locker's address and their code.
- Locker orders still show on Operations and in the staff app (see Running orders day to day).
If something's not working
- You can't assign an order: a locker must show Paired & Connected under Hardware Connection. Use Pair Now if it doesn't.
- Someone can't see Lockers: check their role has permission to manage lockers, then have them sign out and back in.
- Before you offer lockers to guests, test the full flow with us at [email protected].
