Set Up Your Store and Go Live

This guide is for owners setting up a store on OpenPOS. The AI writes the first draft of your store, menu and website; you check it, add what only you know, and go live.

Turn it on

1. Describe your restaurant at /get-started — cuisine, style, neighborhood, and your website if you have one, so the AI reads your real details and menu. Sent a link to a store built for you? Preview it and fill in Claim this store — it's free.
2. Check your details in Store Settings › Profile and Location (address and hours).
3. Get your menu right in MENU › Menu Items. Import with AI reads your menu from photos, a PDF or a file. See Build a Menu That Sells.
4. Turn on how guests order under Order Types in Store Settings › Services › Online Ordering. For reservations or a waitlist, turn on Guest management — see Reservations & waitlist.
5. Connect payouts in Sidebar › ADMIN › Payouts with Connect with Stripe. See Set Up Payments & Understand Pricing.
6. Test and go live — place a test order from your ordering page, publish your website from Website (see Your AI-Built Website), and share your link.
7. Set up the counter with the Go Live Guide (the rocket icon at the top of the dashboard). See Terminal and kiosk apps.

Good to know

• The checklist on your dashboard Home shows what's left to do.
• Without a website, the AI writes a sample menu for your cuisine — replace it with your real menu before you take orders.
• Ordering doesn't wait for payouts, but your earnings reach your bank only once payouts are connected, so do it early.
• If the AI Manager is on, it helps finish set-up: it fills in details it finds on the web and emails you the steps only you can do. It never makes up a price.
