Your AI Manager

Your built-in AI Manager for analysis, recommendations, and decision support.

OpenPOS includes a built-in AI Manager that monitors store performance, analyzes trends, and surfaces recommended actions so owners and operators can move faster.

Think of it as an always-on operations assistant: it watches the business, highlights what matters, and helps your team decide what to do next.

What the AI Manager does

  • Automated analysis runs — Regular analyses of your store data, including sales trends, menu performance, customer behavior, and operational patterns.
  • Nudge cards — Helpful prompts that surface when the system detects something worth acting on, such as enabling a feature or following up on a growth opportunity.
  • Home page insights — A summary of what matters most when you log in, so you do not have to dig through reports.
  • Suggested actions — Context-aware recommendations based on your store's current state, feature setup, and growth opportunities.
  • Natural-language chat — Ask questions like "What were my best sellers last week?" or "Should I run a promotion?" and get answers based on your actual store data.

How it learns about your store

The AI Manager looks at signals that describe where your business is today, such as:

  • Whether your setup is complete
  • Whether you have launched and started taking orders
  • Whether you have enough history for meaningful analytics
  • Which features you are using, such as delivery, catering, reservations, or loyalty

Based on those signals, the AI Manager adapts its recommendations. A new restaurant may get launch guidance. A more established restaurant may get growth or optimization suggestions.

Getting started

  1. Open AI Manager in the sidebar.
  2. Tell it about your restaurant, including cuisine type, specialties, and brand voice.
  3. Let it begin analyzing your business and surfacing insights across your dashboard.

Task runs and reports

Each AI analysis run gives you:

  • A concise summary of what was found
  • Recommended actions
  • The time the analysis was run
  • The type of analysis, such as sales, menu, customers, or operations

Runs can happen automatically on a schedule, and they can also be triggered manually when you want a fresh read on the business.

Control stays with your team

The AI Manager is there to assist, not to take over. Recommendations stay visible and reviewable, so your team decides how much to automate and what actions to take.
