Our Story

A Cellar Built on Obsession

Vigna began with a single question: why should a great Italian wine bar exist only in Venice or Milan? Los Altos deserved its own version — intimate, unhurried, anchored in the deep pleasure of a glass poured well.

Our 200-label cellar is curated with restless attention: Barolo from Serralunga, orange wines from Friuli, rare Vermentino from Sardinia's windswept coast. Each bottle earns its place not by prestige alone, but by the conversation it starts.

The cicchetti tradition — Venice's answer to the tapa — guides our kitchen. Small compositions of house-cured meats, hand-pulled burrata, and seasonal conserve arrive at the marble bar to accompany your glass. Nothing here is rushed. Vigna was built for the kind of evening that expands to fill the time you give it.

From the Bar

“The Barolo was extraordinary — they poured it at exactly the right temperature and explained the vineyard without lecturing. The Uova al Tartufo alongside it was the best thing I ate all year.”

— Claire M.,

“We stayed at the marble bar for three hours. Nobody rushed us. The Ramato was a revelation and the Crostini alla ’Nduja kept us ordering rounds.”

— Daniel & Sara T.,

“Vigna is what happens when someone curates a wine list the way a museum curates art. The Burrata al Fico alone is worth the trip from Palo Alto.”

— Priya K.,
