Owner.com Pricing: What It Costs You and Your Guests
Published
Owner.com runs $249/mo plus a 5% restaurant fee, or $499/mo flat. On both plans your guests pay a 5% order support fee. Here is the full math, what it buys, and the one structural question worth asking before you sign.
Owner.com publishes its prices, which is more than most of this industry does. Two plans, as of August 6, 2026:
- Flexible — $249/month, plus a 5% restaurant fee per order
- Flat Rate — $499/month, with no additional restaurant fees
No long-term contracts. Cancel any time. Both plans include an AI-optimized website, online ordering, a branded mobile app, automated SEO pages, loyalty and rewards, AI-powered marketing, direct catering orders, setup and migration, chargeback protection, and 24/7 support.
That is a real product, and it is worth saying plainly: Owner.com is good at the thing it sells. Automated SEO pages and a branded app are genuinely useful, and driving orders to a restaurant's own channel instead of a marketplace is the right instinct. If someone tells you otherwise, they are selling you something.
There are two things worth understanding before you sign, though. Neither is hidden — both are on their own page. They are just easy to read past.
The 5% your guest pays
On both plans, Owner.com states that guests pay a 5% order support fee covering fulfillment and customer service.
That fee is not on your invoice. It is on your customer's check.
On a $40 pickup order, your regular pays $2 for the privilege of ordering directly from you. Then they do it again next week. The whole argument for a direct ordering channel is that it is the cheap one — the reason you put a sticker on the door asking people to skip the delivery apps. A surcharge on the direct channel works against the thing the direct channel is for.
Whether that matters depends on your guests. In a neighborhood where people order weekly and know what the food costs, they notice. Some owners decide it is worth it anyway, and that is a legitimate call — but make it on purpose.
It is not your point of sale
This is the larger one.
Owner.com runs your website and your online ordering. It does not run your restaurant. Your registers, your in-house tickets, your end-of-day numbers — those stay on a separate system that you also pay for.
In practice that means:
- Two menus. Every price change, every 86'd item, every seasonal special happens twice, or drifts.
- Two sets of numbers. Online sales live in one dashboard, everything else in another, and reconciling them is somebody's Monday.
- Two vendors to renew, two support queues, two things that can break on a Friday night.
And there is a longer-term version of the same problem. The day you decide you want ordering and the register to be one system, you are not switching one tool. You are migrating your online ordering, your customer list, your SEO pages and your app all at once — the assets that took two years to build up.
What you actually pay, per year
| Owner.com Flexible | Owner.com Flat Rate | OpenPOS | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Monthly | $249 | $499 | from $149 |
| Per year | $2,988 | $5,988 | from $1,788 |
| Fee added to your guest's check | 5% | 5% | None |
| Fee charged to you per order | 5% | None stated | Merchant-side only |
| Is it your point of sale? | No | No | Yes |
| A second system to reconcile | Yes | Yes | No |
The subscription lines are the easy comparison and the least interesting one. The last two rows are the decision.
When Owner.com is the right answer
If you have a point of sale you are happy with, your staff knows it, and what you actually need is a better website and a direct ordering channel — Owner.com is a focused product that does that well, and the cost of trying it is one month.
We would rather say that than pretend a good product is a bad one.
When it isn't
If you are choosing a system to run the restaurant rather than to sit beside it, the question is not which website is better. It is whether your ordering channel should be welded to your register or bolted next to it.
OpenPOS is the welded version: point of sale, website, online ordering, reservations, and an AI manager that runs the marketing — one subscription, one menu, one set of numbers, from $149/month. Your guest never sees a surcharge for ordering direct.
The honest trade: Owner.com has been doing direct-order growth longer than we have, and if that single job is all you need, focus is a real advantage. What we will argue is narrower — paying two vendors to keep two copies of your menu is a tax you stop noticing, and your guests paying 5% to order from you directly is one they don't.
