MenuSifu publishes exactly one price: $0 a month, for its Pay-As-You-Grow plan.
Basic, Pro and Premium have no published price. Processing is quoted individually — the page invites you to contact them for a custom rate, and describes an Interchange Plus model with no third-party processor markup, which is a genuinely fair way to structure card fees when the numbers are good.
A free entry tier is a real offer and worth taking seriously, especially for a store replacing a system it hates. The question, as always with ladders, is which rung you actually end up on.

The free plan runs a register. That is not nothing — but a restaurant that takes delivery orders, seats walk-ins, and wants tickets on a kitchen screen is on Premium, and Premium has no published price.
Where MenuSifu genuinely wins
More than a decade working with Chinese restaurants across North America, and it shows in the places that matter: flexible menu controls, multilingual ordering, and service formats that generalist systems handle badly.
If you have run a Chinese restaurant on a POS designed for a burger counter, you know exactly what this is worth. Two-language menus, item modifiers that branch three deep, a lunch special structure that changes by day, a kitchen that reads tickets in Chinese while the front of house works in English. Most POS companies treat that as an edge case. MenuSifu treats it as the case.
We are not going to pretend that experience does not count. It does.
Where we are different
Our prices are published: $49, $149, $349 a month, plus 5% + 30¢ per order with card processing included.
And the shape is different. Reservations, waitlist, catering, delivery and lockers are all available at Launch, $49 — the bottom paid tier, not the top. Kitchen display included. Website, online ordering and the AI manager included.
Two things on the MenuSifu tier list are absent entirely:
Voice AI that answers the phone. Phone orders are a large share of business at most Chinese restaurants specifically — often the largest single channel — and each call ties up a person for minutes at exactly the moment the room is busiest. OpenPOS answers the phone and takes the order. MenuSifu's pricing page lists no phone or voice ordering at any tier.
Your own delivery, not only handoff. MenuSifu lists delivery integration at Pro. OpenPOS runs both models: your own drivers through your own driver app, and third-party dispatch when it is cheaper or faster. For a restaurant already paying a driver cash on Friday nights, that is margin, not a checkbox.
The part that is not about features
Every touchpoint a guest can use — the phone, the website, the kiosk, the dining room, delivery, and increasingly an AI assistant ordering on their behalf — lands in one system, on one menu, in one set of numbers.
That is not a convenience argument. It is the reason software can do the work rather than just record it. An AI cannot reprice the lunch special based on what the phone keeps turning away if the phone is a person with a notepad and the website is a different vendor. It can only advise. When every channel is in one place, it can act.
Count your vendor logins. That number is the ceiling on how much of the work any software can take off your hands.
